Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026

This policy explains what personal information PersianID (persianid.com) and Persian Awards (persianawards.com), "the Sites", collect and how we use it. One account works on both Sites, so the same information is shared between them.

1. What we collect

Account details (name, email, username, password in hashed form), profile information you choose to add, content you post, messages and form submissions, orders, bookings and payment status, and technical data (IP address, browser, pages viewed, cookies). If you sign in with Google, Facebook, LinkedIn or X, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that service, and nothing else without your permission.

2. How we use it

To run your account and the Sites, show your public profile and listings, process orders and bookings, send emails you need (verification, receipts, notifications) and emails you choose to receive, prevent fraud and abuse, understand how the Sites are used, and improve them.

3. Who sees it

Your public profile and what you post are visible to visitors. We share data only with service providers who help us run the Sites (hosting, email delivery, payment processors such as Stripe and PayPal, analytics) and only as needed, or when the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information. We never store full card numbers or security codes; payments are handled by the payment provider.

4. Cookies

We use cookies for login, language, display preferences and basic analytics. You can block cookies in your browser, but some features may stop working.

5. Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your information in your dashboard, choose which notification emails you receive, unsubscribe from marketing emails, and ask us to delete your account or give you a copy of your data. Use the Contact & support page to make a request. Where Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) or similar law applies, you also have the rights it gives you.

6. Keeping data safe

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you think your account was misused.

7. How long we keep it

While your account is active and as long as needed for legal, tax and dispute purposes. Public award and archive records may be kept for historical reasons.

8. Children

The Sites are not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes and contact

We will post changes here and announce important ones. Questions: use the Contact & support page.
